EastWest Bank bags 2007 interbank volleyball crown
The female volleyball team of EastWest Bank stole the crown from the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation in the annual interbank volleyball tournament held at the Meralco Gym on January 26, 2008. The EastWest Bankers won all three sets of the championship game.
The male players, on the other hand, bagged the second place after a tough game against Banco de Oro, which lasted for five sets. The game ended at 15-11.
The MVP and Best Blocker awards were handed to Iris-Ivy P. Natividad, West Avenue Branch sales officer. Treasury Group's Anna Melissa S. Arellano was named Best Setter. Among the male players, Nestor G. Concepcion of the Check Processing Department was named Best Digger, while Jonas Sebastian C. Sanchez of the Central Processing and Settlement Division bagged the Best Spiker award.
The interbank volleyball tournament is an annual friendly competition among banks sponsored by the Bankers Athletic Association.
