What is Quick Bills Facility?

EastWest Credit Cards' Quick Bills Facility is a feature by which your periodic bill/s (utility, telecommunication and insurance premiums) may be automatically charged to and paid using your EastWest Credit Card.

How do I enroll in the Quick Bills Facility?

Cardholders may enroll in the Quick Bills Facility by calling EastWest's 24-Hour Customer Service Hotline, accessing EastWest Online Banking, or by sending the fully accomplished Quick Bills Application Form via fax or e-mail. Upon successful enrollment, the periodic bill/s of your choice will be automatically charged to your EastWest Credit Card and will form part of your credit card balance. You just have to settle your credit card bills as you do every month.

Who are qualified to enroll in the Quick Bills Facility?

Only the Principal Cardholder with an active and current account may enroll in the Quick Bills Facility but you may apply even if the utility bill or insurance premium is not under your name.

How will I know if my Quick Bills Facility enrollment was approved?

EastWest will send you a letter of confirmation upon successful enrollment of your periodic bill/s to your declared mailing address approximately a week after your request for enrollment. You may also inquire through EastWest's 24-Hour Customer Service at (02) 888-1700 or e-mail cards@eastwestbanker.com.

How will I know when my Quick Bills Facility Enrollment will take effect?

You may call EastWest's 24-Hour Customer Service at (02) 888-1700 or e-mail cards@eastwestbanker.com after seven (7) banking days from your enrollment date to know whether or not your monthly bill/s will already be automatically charged to your credit card.

What if I find errors in my utility or insurance company's statement of account?

Simply call the customer service hotline of your utility or insurance provider for assistance. Upon the request of the company involved, EastWest will then reverse the charges concerned in your billing statement. You are advised to call the following customer service hotlines for your concerns:

What if I exceed my credit limit and the utility bill or insurance premium transaction is declined?

EastWest will send you a letter informing you that your utility bill/s or insurance premium/s is declined. You will likewise receive an advice from your utility company or insurance provider via notification letter, SMS or e-mail. You will then be given the opportunity to settle your bills through other means.

How many times can my utility bill or insurance account transaction be declined before the account is automatically cancelled from the Quick Bills Facility?

For a period of one year, EastWest automatically cancels your utility or insurance account/s from the Quick Bills Facility after the following transaction declines:

  • BayanTel - 1
  • Digitel and Sun Cellular - 3
  • Globe - 1
  • Meralco - 2
  • PLDT and MyDSL - 2
  • SKYCable, SKYBroadband and SKYVoice - 2
  • Smart, SmartBro and Red Mobile - 3

EastWest will send letters to inform both you and the utility or insurance company of the automatic disenrollment under the Quick Bills Facility.

  1. For purposes of this agreement, the words "I", "me", "my" & "myself" shall refer to the Cardholder while the words "you" and "your" shall refer to EastWest.

  2. The Quick Bills Facility is an automated payment facility wherein I may be allowed to settle my periodic utility bills/insurance premiums/statements of account by charging the amounts thereof to my EastWest Credit Card ("Credit Card").

  3. I shall enroll in the Quick Bills Facility before I may be allowed to settle my periodic utility bills/insurance premiums/statements of account to my Credit Card by calling your Customer Service Hotline, by enrolling through your Online Banking, or by sending the fully accomplished Application Form to you via fax or e-mail.

  4. I acknowledge that you have the absolute discretion to approve or reject my Quick Bills Facility application.

  5. Upon approval of my enrollment, I hereby authorize you to automatically charge (monthly/quarterly/annually) to my designated EastWest Credit Card the total amount of my utility bills/insurance premiums/statements of account.

  6. Only you shall pay the aforesaid bills/insurance premiums/statements of account to the exclusion of others, either directly or indirectly. I shall only pay directly to the said utility/service company/ies in case you reject any auto-charging or cancel my enrollment in the Quick Bills Facility. I shall not hold EastWest liable for any loss or damage I may suffer arising from any double payment which may result from my payment of said bills/insurance premiums/statements of account through modes other than the Quick Bills Facility. I shall also be solely responsible for any dispute/s relating to such bills/insurance premiums/statements of account and I shall not hold EastWest liable for payments it may make under the Quick Bills Facility in spite of such dispute.

  7. You have absolute discretion to reject any auto-charging or cancel my enrollment in the Quick Bills Facility on reasonable grounds such as but not limited to non-availability of credit in my Credit Card account, or my account has been considered delinquent, or due to default in my obligations in one or more of your Credit Card or in any of your credit facilities that I have availed of, or termination, suspension and/or cancellation of my Credit Card (voluntary or involuntary), in such a case, I shall not hold you liable for any damage that I might suffer, directly or indirectly, by reason of such rejection or cancellation.

  8. In case my Credit Card is lost, stolen or replaced, my enrollment in the Quick Bills Facility shall be continued under my replacement EastWest Credit Card.

  9. Under the Quick Bills Facility, only enrolled Philam Life and PhilPlans insurance premiums are entitled to earn rewards points for all card types of EastWest except for EastWest EveryDay Mastercard. Utility and telecommunications transactions enrolled in the Quick Bills will not earn rewards points/Dolce Vita charms.

  10. I hereby authorize you to process late payment of said bills/insurance premiums/statements of account due to reasons beyond the Bank's control (i.e. late receipt of payment instructions, late delivery of accounts/bills or computer error). In such event, I shall not hold you liable for any penalty, inconvenience, delay, damage, liability, loss or other consequences that may arise from such late payment including but not limited to disconnection or interruption of utility services. You shall inform me in case your collection agreement between you and the utility/service company/ies is terminated. On the other hand, if I decide to cancel my enrollment in the Quick Bills Facility, I shall notify you in writing and such cancellation shall be effective after fifteen (15) banking days from your receipt thereof.

  11. I agree that the foregoing Terms and Conditions are subject to amendments that EastWest may implement from time to time. I further agree that the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest Credit Cards are hereby incorporated by reference and shall form an integral part hereof. I hereby certify that the foregoing Terms and Conditions and the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest Credit Cards have been read and understood by me as evidenced by my signature on the application form, or when I retain or use my EastWest Credit Card.
