It is a type of debt instrument that provides returns in the form of regular or fixed interest payments and repayments of the principal when the security reaches maturity. It can be issued by Governments, Corporations, and other entities to finance their operations.

For Peso-denominated securities, PHP 20,000.00 face value and subject to the availability of the security. For Dollar-denominated securities, USD 200,000.00 face value and subject to the availability of the security. 
**For primary offerings, the minimum investment amount will depend on the requirement of the Issuer.

There is no charge for opening an Investment Registry account. However, there may be third-party related account opening fees and transactional fees based on the type of investment. A broker’s fee per transaction may also apply. For more details, please consult our SEDEX Officer.

Early redemption of investments will depend on prevailing market prices. This means the value of investments may differ from the original purchase price due to market fluctuations. Investments may be sold at a discount, at par or at a premium. To proceed with the sale of securities, you’ll need to submit the required documents and the sale transaction will be subject to the availability of a buyer in the market.

You must open an EWB settlement (savings or checking) account prior to investing in bonds. Your account will be debited for bond purchases and all interest earned and maturity proceeds will be credited to the nominated settlement account with us.

The Face Value or Principal Investment Amount is the amount that the bondholder will receive at maturity, provided the issuer does not default. While the Settlement Amount is the amount that the bondholder pays or receives for the bond, which includes the accrued interest, taxes, and any applicable fees.

Settlement is usually on the next banking day after the transaction / trade date.

You need to complete the required investment account opening documents at your nearest EastWest store. EastWest stores can assist with the documentation and the trade transactions execution will be handled by SEDEX Officer at the Head Office.
