EasyWay is an upgraded online and mobile banking platform designed to deliver advanced digital products and an exceptional user experience, aligned with EastWest's commitment to make banking fast, easy and convenient. 

With EasyWay, you now have the ability to:

  • Log in using biometrics or a passcode (on mobile).
  • Experience enhanced user interface when accessing your accounts and performing transactions.
  • Assign personalized nicknames to your deposit accounts.
  • Verify web logins and transactions through a registered device.
  • Enable and manage transaction notifications on your mobile device.
  • Manage your registered devices efficiently.
  • Toggle the visibility of accounts as needed.

  • Apply for credit card Balance Transfer and Insta-Cash. 

Moreover, you can continue to utilize the old EastWest Online/Mobile’s existing services, including:

II. Compatibility & Security

  • To safeguard your personal information and transactions, firewalls are employed to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Every transaction is subjected to encryption procedures, ensuring a high level of security.
  • Your account access is secure with the protection of your unique username and password.
  • For added verification, One Time Passwords (OTPs) are dispatched to your registered mobile number and email address.
  • For enhanced transaction security, each mobile app-based transaction necessitates a 6-digit passcode or biometric authentication.
  • Web transactions can be validated using a registered device, adding an extra layer of authentication.

No. You cannot use a jailbroken device to download the EasyWay app for security reasons.

III. Eligibility & Registration

EasyWay is initially available to selected individual EastWest clients with:

  • A peso or foreign savings/checking account, with or without an EastWest debit card (viewing of account balances for joint Time Deposit and ITF accounts is not yet available).
  • An EastWest credit card account

 

During the registration procedure, you will need to provide:

  • A valid email address that matches the Bank records, to receive a verification code.
  • An active mobile number (prepaid or post-paid) registered in the Bank's records, where the SMS verification code will be sent.

 

You are required to have an existing old EastWest Online/Mobile account to register in EasyWay.

You will receive an email notification at your registered email address containing instructions to proceed with your registration for EasyWay.

Alternatively, you can also download the EasyWay app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to initiate the registration process.

No. The mobile number should match what is on your Bank records. Please coordinate with your store of account to have your mobile number updated.

No. EasyWay is not linked to the old EastWest Online/Mobile.

Yes, you may still use your old EastWest Online/Mobile until further notice. Also, transactions performed in EasyWay and the old EastWest Online/Mobile will run independently.

Yes. You may choose to nominate the same password as your existing EastWest Online/Mobile or nominate a new/different one for EasyWay. Note that the new password will only work with EasyWay; you will still need to use your old password when logging into the old EastWest Online/Mobile.

Yes, you can enroll provided you have an active peso or foreign savings or checking account (with or without an EastWest debit card), or an EastWest credit card. Please download the EasyWay app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, open the app, and click “enroll here” link in login screen.

Enrollment to EasyWay is currently by invitation only.  Further announcements will be made when the app is available to all customers.

IV. Self-Services & Account Management

Just click “Forgot Username or Password”, select the relevant option and input the required information. You should receive an email shortly with further instructions. You may also contact our 24-Hour Customer Service at +63288881700 for assistance.

No, you cannot perform “Forgot Username” if you are not yet registered in EasyWay.

You may update your email through the old EastWest Online/Mobile. For update of your mobile number, please visit your EastWest store of account (for deposit customers) or call our 24-Hour Customer Service at +63288881700 (for credit card customers).

Yes, you should be able to access your old EastWest Online/Mobile account. Your access in EasyWay and old EastWest Online/Mobile runs independently.

No. You may use the old EastWest Online/Mobile to link your other EastWest accounts to your EastWest Online account. Nonetheless, linking of accounts will be available soon in EasyWay.

Yes. EasyWay and old EastWest Online/Mobile share the same fund transfer limits.

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

  • Use the web version of EasyWay to log in and verify the registration of your new email address.
  • Keep in mind that the verification link is valid for only five (5) minutes.
  • Once you've completed the verification, you should be able to log in successfully to your EasyWay app.

Click "Forgot Passcode" from the app login screen. Login using your EasyWay username and password. After entering the correct OTP, you may nominate new passcode again and enable your biometrics.

Check if the masked mobile number is still your updated mobile number. If correct, click on "Send me another code" to receive another verification code through SMS.

Verification code is valid for five (5) minutes. You may also request for another code using your registered email address.

V. Viewing of Accounts

You can view all your registered or linked deposit, prepaid card, and credit card accounts.

  • Available balance can be viewed after logging in to EasyWay.
  • You can click on your account in "My Accounts" screen to view your transaction history and your account information.

No. You can only view your transactions for the past 90 days.

  • Available credit limit can be viewed after logging in to EasyWay.
  • You can click on account or available credit limit to view your billed and unbilled transactions, statement details, and other account information.

You may hide your terminated Time Deposit account by clicking Manage Accounts icon in "My Accounts" screen. Currently, time deposit records are still being updated for EasyWay.

Yes. You need to re-enroll your favorite funds transfer to your EasyWay account.

VI. Paying a Bill

No. Your favorite bills payment transactions will be automatically enrolled to your EasyWay account.

Yes, data synching is in place for bills payment billers. Any new biller will be saved to the other channels after saving a favorite biller.

VII. Basic Troubleshooting

Your registered email address might be incorrect or outdated. You may update your email through the old EastWest Online/Mobile. Also, your company's network firewall might be blocking the email if your registered email address is your office email address.

Yes. The old EastWest Online/ Mobile App are two different platforms and are not connected.

Should you want to enjoy end experience the features of the new EasyWay App, you will need to download the new App from the App Store or Play Store and register your account. You may register using your deposit account, debit card, or credit card details.

There are 3 options to register on EasyWay. You may register using your account details, debit card, or credit card number.

Please ensure that your contact details on our record are updated for seamless registration.

Yes. You may still use your old EastWest Online/Mobile account until further notice. We are however encouraging our customers to upgrade to the new EasyWay as early as possible to avoid the hassle of last-minute registration.

For clients with old EastWest Online/Mobile account:

You may update your registered email address through the old app. For mobile number update, please visit your store of account (for deposit customers) or call our 24- Hour Customer Service at (+632) 8888-1700 (for credit card customers) to request for an update.

For clients without old EastWest Online/Mobile account:

Please visit your store of account to update your contact details.

The EasyWay App is available to Android and iOS users. Please ensure that your device is updated to avoid compatibility issues.

The EasyWay App is not yet available to Huawei devices. If you’re using a Huawei device and you want to register to EasyWay, you may use the EasyWay On- line (Web Version). EasyWay Online works on Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox browsers.

Double check the debit card number you input and try again.

III. Account Access

Just click/ tap “Forgot Username or Password” and se- lect “Password” or “Username depending on which user access you forgot. Enter your registered email address and wait for a confirmation email for further instructions.

You may also enable your mobile app face ID or finger- print for easy log-in.

3. Nominate your new passcode

You may reset your passcode by tapping “Forgot Pass- code” button on the log-in screen of the EasyWay App. Input your username and password then wait for the OTP to nominate your new passcode.

Once logged in, you may enable your fingerprint / face ID for easy access.

IV. Account Viewing and Linking

You may register the following EastWest accounts:

  • Savings Account
  • Checking Account
  • Deposit Account (Time deposit) 
  • Prepaid Dards
  • Credit Cards

Yes, provided that all your accounts are successfully linked/registered on the app.

To link your account, you may do the following steps: 

  1.  Log-in
  2.  Tap “Link an account”
  3. Choose an account to link and provide the necessary information.

Your linked accounts will display under “My Accounts”. Simply tap the account card to view more details of your account including transaction history.

The app displays transaction history in the past 90 days. If you wish to receive a copy of your transaction history be- yond 90 days, please request from your store of account.

V. Deposit Account

Your linked accounts will display under “My Accounts”. Simply tap the account card to view more details of your account including transaction history.

You will need to link your accounts to the EasyWay App to access, view, and manage them.

Log-in to EasyWay and click/ tap “Link an account” to proceed.

Yes. You can link both AND and AND/OR accounts.

No. Only individual/ personal deposit accounts can be linked to EasyWay. For sole prop and corporate accounts, please contact your store of account for access to EastWest EasyBiz our business online banking platform.

VI. Credit Card

You may view the following details:

  • Outstanding balance 
  • Available credit limit

  • Recent transactions

The lock / unlock feature for credit cards will soon be available on the EasyWay App.

Once your EastWest credit card linked on the EasyWay App, you may do the following transactions in just a few clicks:

  • Quick Bills 
  • Insta-Cash
  • Balance Transfer 
  • Card Management 
  • Convert to Installment

Quick Bills is an “auto-charge” bills payment feature on the EasyWay App. This allows you to pay your period- ic bills automatically using your EastWest credit card in real-time.

You can pay automatically using your EastWest credit card by doing the following steps:

  1. Go to “Pay Bills”
  2.  Tap “Quick Bills”
  3. Tap “Enroll Merchant” and choose any of the available billers.

The Quick Bills feature is only applicable to the currently enrolled Quick Bills merchants in the EasyWay App.

Insta-Cash allows you to convert your EastWest credit card’s available credit limit to cash subject to the bank’s approval. This can be paid in fixed monthly installments.

Your Insta-Cash application will be processed in 5 bank- ing days. Once approved, the amount will be credited to your nominated deposit account.

You may follow these easy steps:

  1. On the app, tap your credit card account then tap the “Insta-Cash” icon
  2. Select your destination account
  3. Input the required details
  4. Select your preferred term with the corresponding monthly amortization
  5. Review and authorize your transaction via biometrics or passcode.

An SMS / email update regarding your Insta-cash re- quest will be sent within 5 banking days from your ap- plication date.

Yes. Simply choose the appropriate destination account when applying for Insta-Cash.

Balance Transfer allows you to transfer balances (total or portion) of your non-EastWest credit card to your EastWest credit card and repay them in flexible install- ment terms.

You may follow these easy steps:

  1. On the app, tap your EastWest credit card account then tap “Balance Transfer” icon.
  2. Input the required details
  3. Select your preferred term with the corresponding monthly amortization
  4. Review and authorize your transaction via biometrics or passcode.

Your Balance Transfer application will be reviewed (subject to the bank’s approval) and processed within 7 banking days after your successful application.

Convert to Installment allows you to convert big-ticket, straight charge purchases to installment and enjoy with low add-on rates in real-time.

You may follow these easy steps:

  1. On the app, tap your EastWest credit card account
  2. Go to credit card transaction history
  3. Choose the transaction to be converted into installment. Qualified transactions are labelled with “Convert-to-installment”.
  4. Tap “Convert Now” icon and select the preferred term or monthly amortization
  5. Review and authorize your transaction via biometrics or passcode.

Once the transaction has been converted to installment, it will be labeled as “Converted”.

VII. Fund Transfer

1. Transactions made before the 2pm cut- off will be credited within the day.

2. Transactions made during weekends and holidays will be credited to the receiving bank on the next banking day.

You will receive a prompt for successful transactions. You may also enable push notifications, email, and SMS when an amount is debited from or credited to your ac- count.

To enable notifications please follow these steps:

  1. On the app, go to “More”
  2. Tap the bell icon at the topmost part of the screen
  3. Tap the gear icon
  4. Choose the account you wish to receive notifications from
  5. Tap “Transactions” and allow notifications 6. Toggle the type of notifications you wish to receive

Yes. Upon input of payee’s account details, toggle the “Save to Favorites” button.

Fund transfers using QR code will soon be available on the EasyWay App.

No. Once you authorize your transaction, it will no longer be reversed or cancelled. Please make sure the details of your transaction are correct before confirming.

You have the option to authorize your transactions via fingerprint / face ID/ passcode.

Check the details of your transaction if you transfer funds to the correct account. If yes, report the transaction by sending a message to Customer Service. You may directly message using the App, or you may call the ho- tline at (+632) 8888-1700.

VIII. Bills Payment

Onboarding of a biller on the App is done by the bank. Over 100 billers are currently available on EasyWay App for your bill payment transactions. Our partner bill- ers include Cable TV / Internet Providers, Credit Cards, Gov’t Services, Insurance / Preneed / Pension, Schools / Universities, Utilities, and more.

Yes. Just choose from any of our partner billers and input the needed information.

Please check your SOA or billing statement from your provider for your due dates.

Yes. You may choose the payment source when paying your bills. You may also use the Quick Bills “auto-charge” service for automatic payment to any available billers using your EastWest credit card. To pay bills using Quick Bills, follow these steps:

  1. Go to “Pay Bills”
  2. Tap “Quick Bills”
  3. Tap “Enroll Merchant” and choose any of the available billers

You will receive an SMS notification once the merchant confirms enrollment to Quick Bills.

Your favorite billers will be automatically saved to your EasyWay account.

Schedule bills payment will soon be available on the app.

IX. Security

Immediately report the lost card to our 24-Hour Custom- er Service at (+632) 8888-1700 or email us at service@ eastwestbanker.com for assistance.

For further security, you may lock your debit card via the EasyWay App.

Please ensure that the email address / mobile number you have with us is still active. If you wish to update your email address, you may coordinate with your store of ac- count. If you have an existing EastWest Online/Mobile account, you may update your email on the platform.

If you did not activate biometrics upon registration, sim- ply login using passcode, go to “More” and click “En- able Biometrics” icon.

  1. On the app, tap the notification (bell icon) at the upper right side of the screen
  2. Tap notification settings (gear icon) then select the account you’d like to enable notification for
  3. Allow notification for balance or transaction

  2. Click the notification settings icon.
