Sell Foreign Currency

Sell Foreign Currency allows users to perform real-time Foreign Exchange (FX) trading services via the EasyWay app. Perform instant transfers from your own USD account to your eligible PHP account based on indicative FX rates from the Daily Reference Bulletin Rate provided by EastWest Treasury. 

All active EastWest clients with USD and CASA PHP accounts are eligible to use this facility.

  However, the following accounts are NOT eligible.

• Joint “AND” Accounts
• Time deposit Account
• Prepaid Cards   
• Loan Accounts
• CASA Accounts with restrictions (i.e. Cash Basis Only, Dormant, Garnished)

• You must have a USD account linked to your EasyWay.
• The recipient PHP CASA account must be eligible and active.
• Currently, minimum transaction amount is $100. Limits can change anytime.
• Ensure that source USD account is sufficient before performing the transaction.

1. On the App, tap “Transfer Funds” then tap “Sell Foreign Currency”.
2. Enter the USD amount, select the USD source account and PHP receiving account, and tap “Continue”                                                                                            Note: PHP equivalent will be displayed based on indicative FX rates from the Daily Reference Bulletin Rate provided by EastWest Treasury.
3. Review your transaction and then tap “Transfer”.
4. Authorize your transaction using biometrics or passcode.

Currently, the use of the facility is FREE.

Yes, you may perform FX sell through EasyWay Online. 

Currently, minimum transaction amount is $100 and maximum transaction limit is $50,000 per account per day with a weekly limit of $350,000. Limits can change at any time. Please refer to the guidelines on the app.

No, preferential rate is not available in EasyWay. FX rates will be based from the Daily Reference Bulletin Rate provided by EastWest Treasury. Qualified customers may coordinate with the EastWest Store or SEDEX team for preferential FX rates. 

No, you cannot add this as part of your favorite transfer.

No, FX buy is not yet available in EasyWay.

Converted funds will be received in real-time.

Currently, only USD to PHP is available.

Check your receiving account, amount should be credited in real-time. An SMS confirmation will be sent for every successful transaction.

Your FX transaction will be rejected for the following reasons:

1. The USD amount is less than the required limit. Currently, minimum transaction amount is $100. Limits can change anytime.
2. The transaction already exceeded the maximum limit of $50,000 per account per day.
3. Insufficient USD source account.
