EastWest Bank is co-presenting with the Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP) the first fun run for the banking community, with a theme "the Great Bank Fun Run" to be held on July 22 at Filinvest City in Alabang.
Proceeds of the fun run will be given to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' (BSP) Banking on your future — BMAP Kiddie Account Program to help promote savings consciousness among schoolchildren.
Portions of the income will be used for the promotion of the Banking Code, the BMAP National Convention and other financial advocacies for the year.
Launched last year, Kiddie Account Program is a program that encourages children 12 years old and below to develop the habit of saving money regularly by giving them easy and affordable access to the deposit facilities of the 11 BMAP member banks. EastWest Bank is a member of BMAP.
EastWest Bank is also giving some special commemorative items that await those who will finish the race. Participants can also look forward to an exciting raffle draw where plane tickets, gift certificates and other items will be the prizes.
Interested participants may register at six EastWest branches: Ayala-Main, Binondo, Tomas Morato, Westgate-Alabang, Burgos Circle-Bonifacio Global City and Festival Mall 1.
Runners may also go to all Runnr and Toby's outlets to register.
EastWest Bank is a subsidiary of the Filinvest Development Corp., the publicly listed holding company of the Filinvest Group that evolved from a consumer business founded by Andrew Gotianun Sr. in 1955. It opened its door to public on Aug. 1, 1994.
