Promo Mechanics

The promo is open to EastWest JCB Platinum credit cardholders whose accounts are active, current, and in good credit standing. Cardholders in good credit standing are those with EastWest JCB credit cards which are not reported lost or stolen, whose accounts are not delinquent, not under investigation due to suspected fraud, and those who have not violated any of the Terms and Conditions governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest JCB credit cards.
 

  1. GENERAL MECHANICS:

    1. The 2024 JCB x Uniqlo Rebate Promo (“Promo) runs every Tuesday from December 10, 2024 to March 11, 2025 (“Promo Period”).

    2. The Promo is open to all Principal and Supplementary EastWest JCB Platinum Credit Cardholders whose accounts are active, current, and in good credit standing* during the Promo Period and at the time of crediting of the rebate.

    3.The Promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest Credit Cards.

    4. By joining the Promo, the Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood, and agreed to the mechanics of the Promo including, but not limited to, terms and conditions herein. 

     

    Note that the terms and conditions already refer to the EastWest Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest Credit Cards, as well as its Data Privacy Policy in the immediately succeeding item.


     5. The EastWest Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest
    Credit Cards shall apply, as well as the East West’s Data Privacy Statement found at https://www.eastwestbanker.com/privacystatement, are hereby incorporated by reference and shall form an integral part hereof.

 

  1. EARNING OF REBATE:

    1. Cardholder must use his/her valid principal or supplementary EastWest JCB Platinum Credit Card for a minimum single-receipt of PHP 5,000 at any branch of Uniqlo Stores (in-store only) to earn PHP 500 rebate. 

    2. Straight and installment (principal amount) transaction/s must be approved by swiping, inserting, or tapping the EastWest JCB credit card through any Uniqlo store branch point-of-sale payment terminal and posted to the cardholder card account within the Promo Period.

    3. Online or card-not-present transactions in Uniqlo website and mobile app are not qualified in the promo.

    4. A PHP 1,500 maximum rebate cap is applied to the Principal cardholder account for the qualified transaction/s of its principal or supplementary cardholder during the promotional period using EastWest JCB Platinum Credit Card.

 

  1. CREDITING OF THE EARNED REBATE:

    1. Rebate to be awarded to the EastWest JCB Principal and Supplementary Platinum Cardholders are considered collectively and will be credited and posted to the Principal cardholder’s account twenty five (25) business days after the promo period or on April 15, 2025.

    2. The qualified cardholder will be notified via SMS/Viber and/or email to the registered mobile number and/or e-mail on his/her JCB Credit Card account within seven (7) banking days from credit of rebate.

    3. The credit card account must be active, current (without incurring past due/delinquency) and of good credit standing* during the Promo Period and at the time of crediting of the rebate, otherwise, the rebate earned shall be forfeited.

    4. Earned rebate will be posted as a credit or payment for purchases or any outstanding balance on the principal cardholder’s account, which will be reflected on his/her Statement of Account (SOA). It is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods or services.

    5. The rebate cannot be availed in conjunction with other promotional offers of EastWest Bank (including, but not limited to, rebates, discounts, spend anywhere, activation promos, etc.). If found to have multiple redemption, EastWest Bank shall have the right to reverse the rebate that has been credited to the principal cardholder’s account. EastWest Bank has the sole discretion in qualifying the transactions of a cardholder based on the mechanics of the Promo. Once EastWest Bank determines that the transaction/s is qualified for the Promo, the same transaction/s can no longer be used for another promo, regardless if it meet/s the criteria of the other promo.

    6. EastWest Bank reserves the right to reverse or adjust the posted rebate if: (i) the qualified transaction/s is/are disputed or cancelled on a later date, or (ii) if the transaction is found to be invalid or fraudulent, or (iii) a reversal of entry is made on any of the qualified transaction, or (iv) if there is erroneous posting of the rebate, or (v) if the transaction was used to register or redeem from another ongoing promo of EastWest Bank.

    7. In case of dispute in respect to the Promo including, but not limited to, the cardholder’s eligibility, coverage periods and fulfilment, the decision of JCB and EastWest Bank, with the concurrence of DTI shall be final. All questions or disputes must be raised by the cardholder to EastWest Bank within sixty (60) calendar days from the posting of the rebate to the principal cardholder credit card account. 

    8. Any amendment in the terms and conditions is subject to DTI approval.
