Promo Mechanics

 

  1. The Promo is open to all Principal EastWest Mastercard Cardholders (“Cardholders”) in good credit standing.

  1. Promo period is from November 3 to December 31, 2024.
  2. Principal cardholders must register once through EastWest’s ESTA web bot at www.ewlend.com/2024EWMCInstallmentPromo  within the promo period to participate in the promo.
  3. A registered Principal cardholder will earn an eGC for qualified transaction/s after successful registration. Transaction/s made before the successful registration, as long as registration was successful during the promo period will be included in computing the total accumulated spend.
  4. Cardholders who use their qualified EastWest Mastercard/s for merchant installment spend and reach the minimum single or accumulated spend requirement (“Qualified Spend”) during the promo period will receive a Giftaway eGC after the promo period.
    a. A qualified credit cardholder with corresponding merchant installment spends will get a Giftaway eGC.

    c. Total single or accumulated qualified spend is derived from:
       I. Single or combined merchant installment transaction/s from one or multiple EastWest Mastercard/s per customer, and;
       II. The total merchant installment spend from both Principal and Supplementary cardholders:

    d. Qualified merchant installment transactions should be for a minimum single-receipt spend of P20,000.

    e. The Giftaway eGC earned based on the accumulated spend will be sent to the Cardholder’s EastWest registered mobile number within thirty (30) working days after the promo period.
    f. If a cardholder changes and/or updates his or her mobile number after the qualified transaction has been made, cardholder should inform EastWest Customer Service via (+632) 8888-1700 until December 31, 2024 to update his/her phone number. This also applies to new credit cardholders who have activated their credit card for the first time within the promo period.

  5. The following transactions are not qualified:
    a. Online/Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO) transactions
    b. International Cash Advances
    c. Trading Services and Remittance transactions
    d. Transactions from Casino, and/or merchants engaged in Gambling
    e. Cash advance availments, Insta-Cash, Balance Transfer, Convert-to-Installment, Balance Conversion
  6. The EastWest Mastercard/s must be active and in good credit standing* at the time of Giftaway eGC sending.
  7. The promo cannot be availed in conjunction with other promotional offers of EastWest credit cards (including, but not limited to rebates, discounts, spend anywhere, activation promos, etc.). If found to have multiple redemptions, EastWest has the right to charge the cost of the Giftaway eGC that has been awarded to the principal cardholder’s account.  It has the sole discretion in qualifying the transaction/s of a cardholder based on the mechanics of the Promo. Once EastWest determines that the transaction/s is qualified for the Promo, the same transaction/s can no longer be used for another promo, regardless if it meet/s the criteria of the other promo.
  8. EastWest reserves the right to charge the Principal cardholder the cost of the Giftaway eGC based on any of the following:
    i. The qualified transaction/s is/are disputed or cancelled on a later date,
    ii. The transaction/s is/are found to be invalid or fraudulent,
    iii. A reversal of entry is/are made on any of the qualified transaction/s,
    iv. There is erroneous awarding of the rebate,
    v. The transaction was used to register or redeem from another ongoing promo of the Bank.
  9. Each Giftaway eGift code shall be valid for sixty (60) days and should thus be redeemed within the said period.  Each Giftaway eGift code may only be used once. For questions or clarifications on the use of Giftaway eGift, Cardholders may e-mail Giftaway Philippines at support@giftaway.ph.
  10. All terms and conditions relating to the use of Universal Giftaway eGCs redemption indicated in the Giftaway redemption portal shall apply. Any dispute related to the use of the Universal Giftaway eGCs shall be coursed through the chosen merchant.
  11. In case of dispute in respect to the Promo including, but not limited to, the cardholder’s eligibility, coverage periods and fulfillment, the decision of EastWest, with the concurrence of DTI shall be final.   All questions or disputes must be raised by the cardholder to EastWest within sixty (60) calendar days from the posting of the rebate to the principal cardholder credit card account.
  12. By joining this Promo, the Cardholder confirms that s/he has read, understood, and agreed to the mechanics of the Promo as well as the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest Credit Cards.

*Cardholders in good credit standing are those whose accounts are not delinquent nor under investigation due to suspected fraudulent activities, those whose EastWest Credit Cards are not reported lost or stolen and those who have not, otherwise, violated any of the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of EastWest Credit Cards.
